TINA - yoga teacher
Tina was first introduced to Hatha Yoga classes in 1990 while living in Lawrence, Kansas. Years later, Ashtanga Yoga was her choice of practice while living in Australia, then it shifted to the style she teaches today which is a more flowing Hatha style of yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), meditations, as well as chanting of various mantras.
In 2007, she completed an ISHTA Teacher Training in Australia, followed by a gentle hands-on Advanced Adjusting apprenticeship. She taught classes for a year before heading to a nourishing Yoga Retreat in Ubud, Bali.
She has been teaching a variety of classes since 2007 in Australia, Albuquerque and Lawrence, Kansas.
Tina is passionate about making sure that everyone, every body, feels comfortable and able to practice yoga, no matter the ability, so that we may all find peace and balance in our lives.
EMILY DOLORES - yoga teacher
My experience in yoga and the healing arts includes trainings in diverse traditions, including Kundalini Yoga, meditation, mantra, Tai Chi, Reiki, and other healing modalities, in NYC, Los Angeles, and Mexico. Though originally from Kansas, I lived in NYC for over a decade and am now excited to be living, practicing, and sharing my offerings in Lawrence, KS.
In my current work, which often takes me to Tulum and Mexico City, I plan and assist in facilitating events, immersions, trainings, and retreats. This includes creating ritual spaces, preparing nourishing meals, medicinal teas and cacao, and much more in order to create inspirational experiences.
In Lawrence, I assist teachers in local schools and love working with children. I spend time outdoors in nature as much as possible. I am passionate about living a lifestyle committed to integrating holistic enriching practices, and sharing and connecting with others in this way. In addition to group classes, I offer private healing and yoga sessions, event hosting/planning, and more.
JONATHAN - somatic embodiment teacher
Jonathan developed a love for internal Chinese martial arts after joining a Tai Chi class in a park in Berkeley in his early twenties. Deeply impressed by the qualities displayed by the various martial arts, meditation and embodiment teachers he has met since, he has made it his passion to learn and pass on methods to cultivate the mind, spirit and body.
“I strive to be loving and powerful, and to teach others how to achieve the same. Much of our pain and suffering is unnecessary, we just need the tools to realize this for ourselves.”
